Darrell Henderson Jr. Leads Rams in Rushing Yards
2 years agoLos Angeles Rams running back Darrell Henderson Jr. carried the ball 10 times for 47 yards and a touchdown in the Rams' 31-27 Week 2 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. The 25-year-old led the teams in rushing yards for the second straight week but did not lead the RBs in carries or targets, as he did in Week 1. His teammate Cam Akers carried the ball 15 times for 44 yards and caught two passes. Henderson was not targeted in the passing game. Both RBs had carries inside the red zone. Rams head coach Sean McVay said before the Bills game and again before this game that he wanted to have both of them involved. Henderson won't be the undisputed lead back some hoped he was after he took 80% of the carries in Week 1, but he could be a low-end flex and a quality backup when facing injuries and bye weeks.
