Aaron Rodgers Bounces Back In Week 2 Victory
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers went 19-for-25 for 234 yards and threw two touchdowns in the 27-10 victory over the Chicago Bears on Sunday night. The reigning MVP added five carries for 10 yards and lost one fumble. In what was a get-right matchup for Green Bay, Rodgers was able to return to form after last week's collapse against the Minnesota Vikings. The Packers had the game well in hand by the time the first half had ended, leaning heavily on the run as Rodgers threw just seven passes the entire second half. The veteran passer spread the ball around the offense, targeting five separate wide receivers, with his leading target being Sammy Watkins, who had four targets. It is a different style of offense than we are used to seeing in Green Bay, but it got the job done Sunday. Rodgers will face a Tampa Bay defense next week that has allowed one passing touchdown so far this season.
