Davante Adams Bottled Up In Week 2
2 years agoLas Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams caught two passes for 12 yards and a touchdown in a 29-23 overtime loss to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2. In what will be one of the more surprising stat lines of the day across the league, the Raiders number one weapon was held in check with only two receptions on seven targets. Adams was fourth on the team in targets behind Darren Waller (8), Hunter Renfrow (10), and Mack Hollins (8). This was mostly because of what the defense chose to give the Raiders as they schemed to blanket Adams and prevent him from beating them. Even in a down performance, he still managed to find the end zone. Adams will continue to be a must-start as the Raiders head to Tennessee in Week 3.
