Curtis Samuel Practicing On The Sidelines

Washington Commanders wide receiver Curtis Samuel struggled with injuries last season, limiting him to only five games played. Samuel, who has familiarity with head coach Ron Rivera from their time together in Carolina, was seen working on the sideline in practice on Monday. When asked about it, Rivera stated he "had some chances to look at him" and has "some concern about football conditioning." This will allow rookie receiver Jahan Dotson, who the Commanders drafted 16th overall, even more opportunity to gain chemistry with quarterback Carson Wentz. This could also open the door for Dotson to lock down the No. 2 receiver role behind Terry McLaurin. This makes Samuel a difficult player to trust in fantasy drafts, and he's someone to stay away from until we are assured he's healthy.
