2 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (knee) had a platelet-rich plasma injection in his right knee on Wednesday and will be unavailable this weekend. Buxton has been battling a knee injury all year, and this is likely a move that helps promote healing while giving the young star a chance to rest. When he's been on the field, Buxton has been providing as much pop as anyone, mashing 23 homers in just 273 at-bats. His average and stolen bases have taken a hit this year, which may have something to do with his knee, but he is still a fantasy star.
