Dyson Daniels Dealing With Ankle Injury
2 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans rookie guard Dyson Daniels (ankle) suffered an ankle injury during Saturday's Summer League game against the Portland Trail Blazers. The injury occurred during a play where he drove to the hoop and landed awkwardly on a defender's foot. He was removed from the game after the incident. Luckily, X-rays came back negative and the injury doesn't seem to be anything major. Daniels was the eighth overall pick in this year's draft and the Blazers will likely be cautious with him so there's a good chance we won't see him in Summer League action again. He played just eight minutes in Saturday's game and shot 0-for-5 from the field and 1-for-2 from the free throw line while compiling one point, two assists, one rebound and one steal.
