Eloy Jimenez Could Be Back Next Week
2 years agoChicago White Sox manager Tony La Russa gave an update on injured outfielder Eloy Jimenez (hamstring) on Saturday. During his presser, La Russa didn't rule out Jimenez returning at some point next week. La Russa said, "The question is how much does Eloy play in the outfield. There's a lot that's uncertain about Eloy yet. What's not uncertain is that we look forward to his return." The 25-year-old hasn't played since late April due to a hamstring injury, but it sounds as if he's getting close to a return, despite the fact that we haven't had much of a grasp on his timeline lately. Injuries have plagued the slugger the past few years. He only managed to play 55 games last year and he's been held to just 11 games this year, but his power upside is immense so hopefully he can reward fantasy managers for their patience soon.
