Walker Kessler Joins Jazz In Gobert Blockbuster

Rookie center Walker Kessler was traded from the Minnesota Timberwolves to the Utah Jazz in Friday's blockbuster deal that sent Rudy Gobert to Minnesota. Kessler was selected 22nd overall in this year's draft. Known for his shot-blocking prowess, he averaged 4.6 blocks per game during his sophomore campaign at Auburn last year. His move from Minnesota to Utah -- coupled with Gobert's exit from Utah -- is an extremely favorable development in terms of Kessler's playing time outlook. As of now, the Jazz don't have a clear starting center on their roster. The team will likely add a veteran or two to their frontcourt this offseason, but Kessler is certainly someone to watch for fantasy managers as he could be a sneaky source of blocks this year.
