Brandon Crawford Believes He'll Only Miss A Few Days
2 years agoSan Francisco Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford (knee) suffered a left knee injury during Tuesday's game against the Atlanta Braves. The injury occurred while he was sliding into home plate. After the game, Crawford stated that he was going for a "late slide" on the play and that his shin guard jammed into his knee. He also said that he was feeling better after the call was overturned and that he only thought he'd miss a few days with the injury. He is set to undergo an MRI on Wednesday, which should help give some clarity to the injury. The 35-year-old has had a rough time at the plate this year, slashing .227/.314/.355 with five home runs, 30 RBI and 26 runs over 62 games.
