Bo Bichette Reaches Base Twice In Tuesday's Loss
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette went 1-for-4 with a walk and a strikeout in the team's 6-5 loss to the New York Yankees on Tuesday. He has now reached base at least once in eight of nine games in May and he's slashing .306/.359/.500 across the first third of the month. Bichette is slugging just .354 on the year, which is well below his career slugging percentage of .488. However, he has an xSLG of .465, which is only slightly lower than his career .489 xSLG. Additionally, he is currently maintaining a career-high 50.5% hard-hit rate, up from 47.5% last year. While Bichette's .238 batting average and three home runs over 31 games aren't the metrics fantasy managers were hoping to see right now, we expect better days ahead for the 24-year-old.
