Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Tallies Four Hits In Series Vs. Guardians
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 1-for-4 in the team's 4-3 loss to the Cleveland Guardians on Sunday. Guerrero and the Jays wound up dropping three of four games in the series. The 23-year-old had a strong game in the series debut on Thursday, going 1-for-2 with a home run, a walk and two runs scored. He was also hit by a pitch in the game. In the following three games, however, he went a combined 3-for-12 with no RBI and no runs scored. Vladito is slashing .286/.358/.524 with seven home runs, 19 RBI and 14 runs over 29 games on the year. Guerrero and the Jays are off on Monday, then begin a two-game set in the Bronx against the Yankees on Tuesday.
