3 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton is getting a planned day off on Friday for the team's series opener against the Chicago White Sox. Nick Gordon is getting the start in center field and batting eighth in the game. Buxton missed nearly a week after suffering a knee injury last Friday, but he returned to the field on Thursday and went 1-for-4 in the game. The 28-year-old is slashing .250/.300/.679 with three home runs, four RBI and five runs over eight games on the year.
