Byron Buxton Undergoes An MRI
3 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (knee) underwent an MRI on his sore right knee. Twins manager Rocco Baldelli said he "hasn't gotten a full update yet on Buxton's status." The 28-year-old will undergo an MRI, and the team will know more about his injury once the results are in. He was removed in the first inning of Friday's game against the Boston Red Sox. During his first at-bat, he slid into second base for a double and then appeared in immense pain as he was taken out of the game. It's unclear how long Buxton remains sidelined and is considered day-to-day. While Buxton is sidelined, Trevor Larnach, Gilberto Celestino, and Nick Gordon will see an uptick in playing time. Stay tuned for further updates.
