3 years agoThe Philadelphia Phillies reinstated closer Corey Knebel (illness) from the COVID-related injured list on Wednesday morning. He will be available for Wednesday's series finale against the New York Mets. The team designated fellow relief pitcher Jeff Singer for assignment in a corresponding move. Knebel was dealing with flu-like symptoms on Monday and he was placed on the COVID-related injured list the following day, but he wound up just spending about 24 hours on the injured list. He'll be around to close things out if the Phillies are ahead late on Wednesday. So far, he's converted his only save opportunity on the season.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
