Hampus Lindholm Exits Tuesday's Action With Injury
3 years agoBoston Bruins defenseman Hampus Lindholm logged just 13:52 of ice time in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to Detroit and made an early exit with a lower-body injury. The issue doesn't seem to be very serious, although we don't know a lot yet. "He seemed OK in there, so I don't think it's serious," said Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy after the game. "But obviously when you don't come back, then you don't know until you get better information." Lindholm was playing in his seventh game as a Bruin since moving over from Anaheim last month. He's been a busy man in his first few appearances, logging 21:45 a night and posting four points with 12 blocks and 11 hits. Losing a guy of his caliber would obviously be a big blow for the team, but it appears that there is a chance that he can make a quick return to the lineup.

Hampus Lindholm Unlikely To Return Before International Break
2 months agoAccording to Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic, Boston Bruins defenseman Hampus Lindholm (lower body) is unlikely to return before the international break. The Bruins have three games remaining before the Four Nations Face-Off. Lindholm has been sidelined since the middle of November. He has returned to practice over the previous week but has yet to be cleared to return. Over his first 17 games of the season, Lindholm scored three goals and added four helpers. During this stretch, the 31-year-old held a -4 rating, five hits, 17 blocks, and 35 shots on goal. When Lindholm does return to action, Andrew Peeke could be in danger of exiting the starting lineup.

Hampus Lindholm Remains "Weeks" Away From Returning
4 months agoBoston Bruins defenseman Hampus Lindholm (lower body) isn't close to returning to action. Per Conor Ryan of The Boston Globe, Bruins head coach Joe Sacco said on Sunday that Lindholm is still "weeks" away from making a comeback. Boston lost Lindholm on Nov. 12 against St. Louis. He led the Bruins blue line in scoring early in the year, posting seven points (three goals, four assists) in 17 outings. Lindholm's absence has boosted Mason Lohrei's fantasy stock. He's seen more action without him in the lineup, taking over the scoring lead among Bruins defensemen with eight points (one goal, seven assists).

Hampus Lindholm Expected To Miss "Weeks"
5 months agoBoston Bruins defenseman Hampus Lindholm (lower body) will be absent for an extended period. Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery said Wednesday that Lindholm will be out for "weeks." The Swedish rearguard suffered a lower-body injury against St. Louis on Tuesday when he blocked a shot late in the first period. Lindholm has posted solid numbers at both ends this season, notching seven points (three goals, four assists) in 17 games with 17 blocks. Boston has recalled Jordan Oesterle from the minors to replace Lindholm in the lineup. Mason Lohrei is in line for a top-four role in defense.

Hampus Lindholm Taken Out By A Lower-Body Injury
5 months agoBoston Bruins defenseman Hampus Lindholm suffered a lower-body injury in Tuesday's 3-2 victory over St. Louis. He left the game in the first period after logging 8:17 of ice time. Lindholm appeared to have suffered the injury when he blocked a shot. Losing Lindholm for an extended period would be a bad blow for the Bruins. He is the team's leading scorer on the blue line this season with seven points (three goals, four assists) in 17 games, and Boston's defense has already lost Andrew Peeke (upper body) recently. Mason Lohrei has come into the lineup, and further changes could now be on the horizon.
