Charlie Coyle Picks Up Three Assists In Friday's Win
3 years agoBoston Bruins forward Charlie Coyle had a very productive outing Friday against the Jets, finishing a 4-2 victory with three assists. Two of his helpers came in the final minutes of regulation when the Bruins managed to turn a tie into a victory with Taylor Hall's power-play goal and Charlie McAvoy's empty-netter in a short-handed situation. This is Coyle's third multi-point effort in six games, and he now boasts 36 points in 62 games for the season. Boston's third line has been hot lately and the trio has the perfect opportunity to keep up the form in the next matchup against Montreal and the league's worst defense.

Charlie Coyle Takes Over As First-Line Center
3 years agoBoston Bruins forward Charlie Coyle is set to be the first-line center in Thursday's matchup against the Islanders. He's moving up in the lineup because Patrice Bergeron is unavailable because of COVID-19 protocols. Brad Marchand remains out for the same reason as well, so Coyle will skate with Taylor Hall and David Pastrnak. The 29-year-old is on 14 points for the season with 25 games played. He hasn't managed to provide consistent offense but now gets an ideal opportunity to do so, with power-play duty on the first unit also waiting for him.
