Braves Throwing "Aggressive" Offers At Freddie Freeman
3 years agoFree-agent first baseman Freddie Freeman has been heavily linked to the Los Angeles Dodgers over the past day or so. However, the only franchise he's known over the past 12 years is still very much in the mix. According to Jim Bowden of CBS Sports, the Atlanta Braves are "being aggressive with packages with different years and dollars" in order to keep Freeman in Atlanta. The 32-year-old slashed .300/.393/.503 with 31 home runs, 83 RBI and 120 runs in 2021. He currently has a mid-second round ADP and he is about as safe of a player as you can draft at that point. If he ends up in Los Angeles or back in Atlanta, he should once again have a strong supporting cast around him.
