ANALYSIS: The Jaguars keep going through the growing pains of a still-developing quarterback but Trevor Lawrence is starting to feel more comfortable while picking his top partners. Ask Zay Jones, who was the man on Sunday against the Ravens catching the last scoring pass of the day for a game-winning 2-point conversion.
It's been three games in a row for Jones getting 5+ targets with the bonus of getting 10+ looks in the last two sandwiching Jacksonville's bye week in W11. Jones had early-season busy days already, but he's now back into the true mix of the offense having back-to-back 10 and 14-target games.
Jones put up his best game to date last Sunday finishing the match against Baltimore with 11 catches on 14 targets for a ridiculous 145-yard figure. He missed on grabbing a touchdown through the game but that 2-pt conversion will surely serve him well as a reliable option for Lawrence to consider passing to in critical situations.
Jones has bounced between WR1 and WR3-level scores all year long, so it's hard to trust him on a weekly basis. That said, he should be a fantastic option for those in deeper leagues looking for Flex plays with a solid floor (9+ PPR points) and tons of upside (Jones has scored 24+ PPR points twice this season).
