BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR2
ANALYSIS: While the recent strong play of Odell Beckham Jr. has complicated the wide receiver picture a little in Baltimore, rookie Zay Flowers remains a solid high-end WR3 option heading into Sunday's meeting with the Los Angeles Chargers, provided he plays, as he is listed as questionable with a hip injury but was a full participant in Friday's practice.
While the rookie has scored just one touchdown all season, he's had seven games with at least 50 receiving yards, providing him with a solid floor most weeks. While he had two games recently where he posted duds, with just 30 combined receiving yards in the Cardinals and Seahawks games, he's bounced back the past two weeks.
Last week against the Bengals, the former Boston College star was targeted four times, catching three passes for 43 yards. He also added seven rushing yards. The week before, he had five catches for 73 yards.
Flowers is an intriguing player right now because his range of outcomes feels so wide. If we factor in his rushing usage, he has hit 50 scrimmage yards in all but two games, but those two were all in the team's past four contests. In the end, he should provide WR3 numbers for fantasy managers, but he might not be an option for fantasy managers who need to take a swing on a high-upside play.
