BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB2
ANALYSIS: Indianapolis Colts running back Zack Moss didn’t play in Week 1 because of a fractured forearm. However, the veteran running back was outstanding in the other three games the Colts didn’t have Jonathan Taylor. From Week 2 through Week 4, the former third-round pick was the RB7, averaging 16.4 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.
Despite Taylor’s return from offseason ankle surgery, Moss has been productive. He is the RB22 for the year, averaging 12.8 fantasy points per game. The veteran running back has 141 rushing attempts for 672 yards and five touchdowns. He also has 18 receptions for 138 receiving yards and a touchdown this season.
Unfortunately, Taylor suffered a thumb injury in the Week 12 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He will miss the next few weeks after having surgery. Moss will take over as the starting running back with the superstar out of the lineup.
This week, the veteran faces the Tennessee Titans. The AFC South divisional rivals have held running backs to 17.6 fantasy points per game, slightly below the league average. However, Moss had 23 rushing attempts for 165 yards, two touchdowns, and 32.5 fantasy points in the Week 5 matchup against the Titans – all-season highs.
