BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 5% of Yahoo! leagues
ANALYSIS: Miami Marlins pitching prospect Zac Gallen is continuing to absolutely dominate Triple-A hitters this season. Through 11 starts, Gallen now boasts a 1.70 ERA, 0.68(!) WHIP and an 88/13 K/BB ratio in 74 innings pitched.
Numbers like that are worth paying attention to across any level, but putting them up in the hitter friendly PCL is especially impressive. And with Miami already ridiculously out of contention, it seems inevitable that they'll give the young right-hander a shot in the big league rotation.
Miami's rotation is already young however, with Jose Urena, Sandy Alcantara, Trevor Richards, Caleb Smith and Pablo Lopez. Finding a spot for Gallen is the tricky part, and is the reason he isn't a must-add outside of deeper leagues.
I'd gamble on him in 14+ team leagues and NL-only formats for now, if you have the room. If an injury or a trade pushes any of Miami's current starters off the mound, Gallen becomes a must-add in most fantasy formats.
