BALLER MOVE: Stash in 12-14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 5% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Zac Gallen keeps impressing in the minors and could be the next young Marlins pitcher to make an impact at the Major League level. He was one of the main pieces in the Marcell Ozuna trade, meaning he’s a pitcher that comes from the Cardinals organization, which is always a good sign. While Triple-A isn’t necessarily the gauntlet, Gallen has maintained a K/9 over 10 and a BB/9 under 3 for three seasons now.
He’s just 23 years old and looks eerily close to getting to the majors. The Marlins' only worry is bringing him up too soon, but after another dominant start, attention is starting to be made and the folks of Miami would like to see some hope for the future next to Caleb Smith and Pablo Lopez.
You never know the truth behind a pitcher until they get to the show, but it's a great sign to see such consistency out of a guy that was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals. Gallen has ace material and is very much worth a stash in a deeper league.
