BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 24% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Cleveland Indians first baseman Yonder Alonso has suffered from bad luck in the batting average department, and thus we should expect his average to continue to rebound. However, the rest of his production has remained, as he has a line of .236/8/13/19/0 through 25 games.
The power and run production are real, and there is no reason to expect them to stop this week. After joining the fly ball revolution, he swatted 28 homers in just 451 at bats last year. While his slugging percentage dipped from .527 to .439 after being traded from the Athletics to the Mariners this season, it is back up to .529 this season and his .289 OBP is not in line with his career totals. Alonso has had a .360+ OBP in two of the last three seasons, making him a good bet to see his on-base percentage jump.
This week he has eight games, and he is likely to provide you with a homer or more, along with good run production. He is a strong streaming option this week, despite the fact that he is facing many lefties.
