BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 16% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Playing in the depths of the Southside, Yolmer Sanchez has quietly had a well-rounded season, slashing .276/.313/.413 with 24 runs scored and 27 RBI. He's also gone yard three times and is 5-for-7 in stolen base attempts.
Sanchez primarily plays third base but also qualifies at second which is critical for his fantasy value. He's sat the last couple games for rest but has otherwise been playing daily for the White Sox. Sanchez bats second ahead of slugger Jose Abreu so he could continue to pile up runs. His homers are down from last year despite an improvement in Hard% (24.0% to 28.6%).
If Sanchez increases his FB% (25.8%) and HR/FB (6.5%) closer to his career rates, he could threaten double-digit homers while contributing 15-plus steals. In 141 games last season, Sanchez crushed 12 bombs, swiped eight bags and tallied 122 runs+RBI. He should best those numbers with the long balls being the risky variable. Sanchez hit .267 in 2017 and his BABIP is in-line so the current average seems sustainable. He could provide cheap, balanced counting stats for managers needing help in the infield.
