ANALYSIS: Yermin Mercedes is getting all the hype right now after starting off the year with eight straight hits. The 28 year old journey man has bounced around three different clubs before finally sticking with the White Sox. He has always flashed good plate discipline all through the minors (never striking out above 20% of the time) while flashing power at various levels. He hit double digits from 2016 through 2019 with the highest being a 23 home run season in 2019. There is not much upside here but he is relevant in 15-team mixed formats and AL-Only formats on the chance he earns enough playing and maybe gains catcher eligibility this season.
