ANALYSIS: Carolina Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette has gotten off to a cold start in 2024, but there's a glimmer of hope. The Panthers benched Bryce Young after one of the most horrific starts to a career a No. 1 overall pick has ever had. New QB Andy Dalton's red rifle will be put back into commission.
Dalton was excellent for Panthers WR Adam Thielen last year. Dalton threw the ball a whopping 58 times, completing 34 passes for 361 yards and two touchdowns against the Seattle Seahawks last year. Thielen scored 31.5 PPR fantasy points in that game, a stellar clip.

Dalton could be the key to unlocking the Panthers' potential in PPR. He is much more accurate than Young and isn't afraid to pass the ball plenty of times during the game.
However, it's difficult to say how much of a piece of the pie Legette will get. He's still behind Jonathan Mingo in the depth chart, and Diontae Johnson and Thielen are locked into the WR1 and WR2 slots. Legette was also a raw prospect coming out of college.
Legette is a speculative add in deeper leagues, but it's hard to envision anything consistent developing for him. He has the size and speed to make big plays, but those could happen every few games, leaving owners not knowing when to start him. It's best to leave him on waivers outside of deeper leagues for now.
