POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3/FLEX
ANALYSIS: Carolina Panthers rookie wide receiver Xavier Legette balled out in his expanded opportunity, with Panthers No. 2 wideout Adam Thielen now on Injured Reserve with a hamstring issue. Legette should continue to see his expanded role as long as Thielen is out.
The rookie hauled in six passes on 10 targets for 66 yards and a touchdown and added two carries for 10 yards, good for 19.6 PPR fantasy points. As long as Thielen is sidelined, it wouldn't be surprising to see him get similar target numbers. He's a big receiver with great speed, and Panthers head coach Dave Canales has exploited that.
Xavier Legette is getting there. He ran some good routes and used his play strength to create separation at the top of his routes.

Panthers Quarterback Andy Dalton has shown he trusts Legette, and the Red Rifle hasn't shied away from firing in his direction. There's plenty of reason to trust in this cat team's new passing attack, and it's good to be bought in at this point.
Legette can be started as a WR3/FLEX option with upside for more, though the boom/bust potential exists for all rookie receivers.
