World Cup Soccer DFS Lineup Picks for DraftKings (Saturday Dec. 10) - MatchDay 19

Welcome back to a special version of “The Kick-Off”, World Cup Edition! We are here for MatchDay 19 of the tournament and the final matches of the Quarterfinals.

Today’s slate will feature the reigning champs – France – versus England who are favorites to win as well and Portugal who is gaining form versus Morocco – the Cinderella Story –. This slate will center around a Portuguese stack with a few pieces from France vs England fixture.

Jordan Pickford- DK $4.6K

Opponent - France

The keeper position could be the ultimate difference-maker for this slate due to the lack of solidified options. Diego Costa for Portugal is the expected starter, but he may see very few shots and Morocco has shown that they can score against anyone. If this were to happen it would eliminate any value for Costa in that matchup. Lloris is expected to start for France, but he is anything besides a good and reliable keeper. He has shown time and time again at the club and international level, that he can concede mindless goals. This leaves us with Pickford. The English keeper has a chance to hit his ceiling with a high-potent offense from France constantly ripping shots all game and Pickford’s backline keeping them at a safe enough distance.

Goncalo Ramos-DK $9K

Opponent - Morocco

If you are just finding out who Ramos is for the first time, welcome to the club. Ramos is a star at Benfica of the Portuguese league and he made a name for himself in his first World Cup start, scoring a hat trick and assisting one goal, while taking 5 shots. Morocco has proven difficult to break, however, Portugal looked much more dangerous without Cristiano Ronaldo in the lineup. Ramos should have plenty of chances to score his fourth goal of the tournament with Morocco expected to sit back in their final third and grind out a result.

Opponent - Portugal

Hakimi is the focal point of Morocco and the heart of the country. The Paris Saint-Germain wingback had proven himself at the club level and he has taken another step in his career with the form he has shown at the World Cup. In four games, he has 1 assist, 3 shots, 3 created chances, 7 crosses, 17 tackles, 6 interceptions and 4 clearances. Despite Morocco sitting back – if they do – Hakimi will still join the attack as much as he possibly can. For the salary he has, he is undoubtedly going to garner ownership on this small slate, providing the best value for the position.
