World Cup Lineup DFS Picks for DraftKings (11/22/2022) - World Cup Soccer Matchday 2

Happy Tuesday, Rotoballers! We are here for Matchday 2 of the World Cup! After Sunday's opening game and Monday's three-game slate, we are finally getting into the rhythm of the World Cup in Qatar. While there are four games on Tuesday, only three make it to the featured contest: Denmark-Tunisia, Mexico-Poland, and Australia-France.

France is a massive favorite on Tuesday's slate against Australia, and we should be looking to fill our lineup with as many of Kylian Mbappe's teammates as possible in cash games. Denmark is where to go in tournaments, as they should efficiently dispatch Tunisia. The game that will decide the slate is which side of the pitch you fall on between Mexico and Poland in a crucial Group clash for both countries.

The DraftKings World Cup DFS Soccer contests lock at 8:00 am ET for the 11/22/22 slate. Make sure to get your lineups in early. Also, don't forget to check out the rest of our World Cup coverage on Rotoballer with team and match previews, along with our betting and DFS advice. The World Cup Matchday 2

Vegas Odds for the Day

DraftKings DFS Goalkeepers

Guillermo Ochoa - $4,600 vs. Poland

It's time for Guillermo Ochoa to perform some heroics and stand on his head for his country. Now in his third World Cup, Ochoa won't be surprising anyone. At the 2018 World Cup, Ochoa made 25 saves in four games, trailing only Thibaut Courtois (27) for the most in the tournament despite the Belgian playing three more games.

Poland will get their shots off and provide Ochoa with some save opportunities. The red and white averaged three goals per game in qualifying but faltered in the most recent edition of the Nations League with only six goals in six games. They have the headline talent in Robert Lewandowski, but Ochoa's salary and save upside make him the go-to guy in the net on Matchday 2.

Others To Consider (Cash/ GPP): Hugo Lloris ($6,000), Kasper Schmeichel ($5,600)

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Kylian Mbappe - $11,600 vs. Australia

Say what you want about Kylian Mbappe's price hamstringing the rest of your DFS roster, but he's got the best odds at bagging a goal and has the highest upside of any player on the three-game schedule. The PSG icon doesn't have to worry about sharing the spotlight with Karim Benzema (thigh) and is the focal point of this French attack.

In 2018 in Russia, Mbappe announced his presence as one of the best young talents in the game with four goals and an assist on his way to becoming a World Cup champion. Now, he leads the line for France. He's got 28 goals and 21 assists in 59 caps, and no one will be surprised if he adds multiple tallies to those stats in his 60th appearance for Les Bleus.

Robert Lewandowski - $9,500 vs. Mexico

Despite recommending Guillermo Ochoa as the goalkeeper, I'm still putting Lewandowski on this list. If you choose the Bayern Munich-turned-Barcelona man as your centerpiece, you can use the $2,100 in savings over Mbappe to move from Ochoa to Lloris or Kasper Schmeichel. The pride of Poland scored nine goals in qualifying and has 18 goals and four assists in 19 games with Barca this year. If Poland gets on the scoresheet, it'll be via or because of Lewandowski.

Others To Consider (Cash/ GPP): Oliver Giroud ($9,000)

DraftKings DFS Midfielders

Hirving Lozano - $8,900 vs. Poland

Mexico may go as far as Hirving Lozano takes them. The Napoli man has four goals and three assists for the Italian side in the current campaign and is in fine form heading to Qatar. This Mexican outfit is an all-out attacking force as they created 21 big chances and took a tournament-leading 114 shots in six Gold Cup games last year. The oddsmakers don't know how this game will go (Mexico +175, Poland +180), and it may come down to the bravest side taking the spoils.

Naim Sliti - $5,500 vs. Denmark

If you'd like to snag a man on penalties for $5,500, then Naim Sliti is your guy. Honestly, it's wild that Tunisia is at this tournament as they barely scraped by Mail via an own goal in African qualifying. They were comprehensively thumped by Brazil 5-1 in the tune-up to this tournament and beat Iran, who lost to England 6-1 on Monday by two goals. There aren't many Tunisian or Australian options on the board for Matchday 2, but a punt on Sliti could pay off if the moment comes around.

Others To Consider (Cash/ GPP): Antonie Greizmann ($9,900), Andreas Skov Olsen ($8,300)

DraftKings DFS Defenders

Joakim Maehle - $6,100 vs. Tunisia

Everyone will expect a lot of goals from the other Group D game between France and Australia, but this Denmark-Tunisia clash has a lot of DFS upside. Danish defender Joakim Maehle loves to plunge forward down the left-hand side of the pitch and has an eye for attacking returns. He grabbed three assists in six Nations League games earlier this year, and before that, he had five goals during Word Cup qualifying. The left-back will be incredibly popular but well worth the investment.

William Saliba - $4,000 vs. Australia

France is dealing with injuries up and down their lineup, but the defense is especially wounded. They have the best odds for a clean sheet as a team, but that's not the only appeal with Saliba. In his first year with the senior team at Arsenal, the Frenchman is having a breakout season. In 17 games, he's got two goals and an assist and is a big reason Arsenal finds themselves atop the Premier League. If he gets the starting nods, he's one of my favorite tournament plays.

Others To Consider (Cash/ GPP): Benjamin Pavard ($5,200), Matty Cash ($4,600)
