As week five slowly approaches, the waiver wire and free agency becomes a major way to deepen your bench with players potentially ready to bust out. With bye weeks and injuries cramping your style, look into these two players to add and potentially use as the weeks move on:
Willie Snead, WR New Orleans Saints - The second year undrafted wide receiver from Ball State has been slowly progressing as the weeks go on. With only one reception in week one, Snead has increased his productivity with four and five receptions in weeks two and three respectively. Last week against the Cowboys, Quarterback Drew Brees found Snead for 6 receptions for 89 yards. Adding Snead as a fifth wide-out on your bench could pay dividends in the long haul especially if his growth continues.
Stefon Diggs, WR Minnesota Vikings - If you watched the Broncos-Vikings game this past Sunday, you might have noticed an athletic/speedy wide receiver making plays for the Vikings you have never seen before. Stefon Diggs looked like anything but a rookie in his first professional performance with his precise rout running and reliable hands. Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater hooked up with Diggs for 6 receptions and 87 yards on 10 targets in week four. With the Minnesota Vikings lead wide receiver role up for grabs, Diggs would make a fine addition to your bench in deep leagues.
