BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 18% of leagues
ANALYSIS: With Bartolo Colon at least theoretically nearing the end of his career, there's an opening for a hefty baseball man to capture the hearts and minds of the Internet. Willians Astudillo could be that man. The Twins' backstop has hit well thus far since being promoted to the Show, putting up a .317/.338/.508 line with three home runs and 14 RBI in just 65 plate appearances. The most impressive thing about him is his contact ability; Astudillo never ran a strikeout rate above 5% in the minors and has been called out on strikes just twice in the major leagues (good for a 3.1% rate). Batting average is a rare commodity from the catcher position, but he has the tools needed to deliver it. That's a good thing considering his modest pop and allergy to walks.
Astudillo can be found on the waiver wire in four out of every five Yahoo leagues at the moment.
