Arizona Cardinals tight end Zach Ertz was on track for another solid season in his second year with the Cardinals, but ultimately went down in Week 10 with injuries to his ACL and MCL. The veteran finished sixth among tight ends in fantasy points per game before he was banged up, so he's still very much on the fantasy radar.
Kliff Kingsbury is out as the Cardinals' head coach and Kyler Murray (knee) could miss a large chunk of the season, so Ertz's range of outcomes for fantasy are wide in 2023.
Will Ertz be ready for training camp and what is his 2023 fantasy outlook? Let's dive in.

Zach Ertz Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Ertz (knee) said his rehab this offseason has been going well. "I am excited with where we are right now," said Ertz, who will reach three months post-surgery on Saturday. "The goal is always to be there Week 1. It's an adaptable goal. When I am out there, I am going to be myself. I'm not going to go out there early, put the team at risk when I'm 80 percent."
Barring any setbacks, the 32-year-old should be ready to go for the start of the 2023 season, but his overall fantasy value could depend on when Murray (knee) will return.
Zach Ertz 2023 Fantasy Outlook
Since Arizona doesn't have an easy out on Ertz's contract until 2024, he should be the Week 1 starter over Trey McBride if healthy. However, Murray's absence could be problematic for Ertz.
Time will tell who the Cardinals could sign to act as a bridge quarterback until Murray is back. If they sign a high-upside backup like Jacoby Brissett or Gardner Minshew, Ertz could be in decent shape and remain a top-12 tight in fantasy. If Arizona simply rolls out Colt McCoy again, his upside would be lower.
Ultimately, there are a lot of moving parts and it's too early to put a finger on Ertz's fantasy draft value for 2023, but even if the quarterback play is questionable, he could have a decent PPR floor for the new-look Cardinals.
