Will The Titans Trade Derrick Henry? Which Team Would Be The Best Fit For Henry?

Derrick Henry - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Will The Titans Trade Derrick Henry? Which teams are favorites to land Henry if he leaves the Titans? Read the 2023 NFL free agency outlook.

Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry has put together an outstanding NFL career. The former Alabama star has been one of the top running backs over the past few years.

Henry had a limited role his first two years in the NFL, totaling 1,234 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns. However, he has been a force over the past few seasons. Over the past three years, the superstar running back has averaged 23.7 rushing attempts for 112.6 yards and a touchdown per game.

More importantly, Henry has been a fantasy superstar during that span, averaging 19.9 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. However, is his time in Tennessee now over?

Will The Titans Trade Derrick Henry?

The Titans hired Ran Carthon as their new general manager this offseason, and he has been busy. Tennessee has released several veterans already, including Robert Woods and Taylor Lewan.

Meanwhile, Henry is 29 years and entering the last year of his contract. With a $16.4 million cap hit, the Titans reportedly are shopping the superstar running back.

However, there have been conflicting reports about the superstar. While some say Henry is available in trade talks, others have said the opposite.

The former Alabama star remains one of the top running backs in the NFL. Yet, the Titans have to be concerned with his age and mileage. If the team decides it’s time to trade away the franchise running back, Tennessee will have multiple offers for Henry.

Which Team Would Be The Best Fit For Derrick Henry?

According to Bookies.com, the superstar running back will likely remain in Tennessee next season at +250. However, the Philadelphia Eagles (+400), Buffalo Bills (+550), and Miami Dolphins (+600) are the most likely destinations if the veteran running back gets traded.

While Twitter has already traded Henry to the Bills, that’s not the best or most likely fit. Instead, the Eagles would be an excellent landing spot.

Miles Sanders is a free agent this offseason and won’t be back in Philadelphia next season. The team likes Kenneth Gainwell, but he isn’t a lead running back. However, adding Henry would take the Eagles’ elite rushing attack to another level.

Another ideal landing spot is the Atlanta Falcons (+1200). Former Tennessee offensive coordinator Arthur Smith is the head coach in Atlanta. Furthermore, the Falcons were one of the most run-heavy teams in the NFL last year.
