The Tennessee Titans have reportedly been active in trade talks ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft. The speculation is that Tennessee could be looking to move up from the No. 11 overall pick to draft its next franchise quarterback -- as the organization has likely reached its ceiling with veteran Ryan Tannehill.
Former 49ers executive Ran Carthon is the new general manager in Nashville, so the team could be headed toward a rebuild under his direction. Tennessee hasn't picked as high as No. 11 since they took Corey Davis at No. 5 overall in 2017, so the upcoming draft could set the tone for the Carthon era.
Will the Titans take a quarterback in round one? If so, which quarterback(s) could the team be targeting? Let's dive in.

Will The Titans Take A Quarterback In The First Round?
According to ESPN's Todd McShay, Tennessee has real interest in Ohio State's C.J. Stroud and Kentucky's Will Levis, with the latter being the more recent name. Tennessee has spoken to at least four different teams about a potential move up or down the board in the first round.
There is a belief that they will target a player to move up for -- likely one of the QBs -- but then pivot to trade down if it doesn't work out. Any move down in the first round would likely keep them inside the top 20, and Tennessee QB Hendon Hooker would then become a possibility. It's also worth noting the Titans have the third-best odds (+350) to draft Florida's Anthony Richardson (DraftKings Sportsbook), just behind the Seattle Seahawks (+250) and Indianapolis Colts (+310).
Ultimately, it seems the Titans are going to at least attempt to make a move on a quarterback, but that doesn't mean they'll do it by any means necessary.
What Other Players Could The Titans Draft In The First Round?
Tennessee has hosted offensive tackles Broderick Jones and Darnell Wright on top-30 visits, and both would fill a significant team need at right tackle. Tennessee signed former Philadelphia Eagle Andre Dillard to replace Taylor Lewan at left tackle, but upgrading its right tackle spot is likely a priority.
The team also has one of the worst wide receiver rooms in the NFL, so Jaxon Smith-Njigba could be a target at pick No. 11. If they trade down, Zay Flowers, Quentin Johnston, or Jordan Addison could be in play. The team also has major work to do to improve its secondary, so any of the top-five cornerback prospects being a target wouldn't be surprising.
Ultimately, Tennessee needs help at offensive line, wide receiver, cornerback, edge, and inside linebacker, so there are a ton of different directions the team can go -- especially if Carthon is considering a move up or down the board on Thursday night.
