The 2023 NFL Draft is less than 24 hours away. However, no one knows what will happen after the Carolina Panthers select Bryce Young with the first overall pick.
One of the more mysterious teams is the Seattle Seahawks. Last year the team traded away Russell Wilson. Yet, they finished the year with a 9-8 record and made the playoffs.
Geno Smith had a career year in 2022, throwing 4,282 yards and 30 touchdowns. Seattle re-signed the veteran quarterback in the offseason to a three-year deal. However, that won't stop the team from drafting a quarterback tomorrow night.

Will The Seahawks Trade The No. 5 Pick?
Seattle rarely has a top-five draft pick. Thanks to the Denver Broncos’ struggles last year, the Seahawks are in a position to add their franchise quarterback of the future. However, will the quarterback they want be available when the team is on the clock?
The Indianapolis Colts have the fourth overall pick in the draft. They are going to take a quarterback with their first-round selection. Therefore, it’s no surprise that the Seahawks are reportedly one of the teams that could trade up on draft night to secure a quarterback.
However, what will the Seahawks do if they don’t trade up tomorrow night?
Who Could The Seahawks Select With The Fifth Pick?
The team will have a decision to make with the fifth pick. If a quarterback they like is available, do they pull the trigger? Maybe. However, another potential option is Georgia’s star defensive lineman Jalen Carter.
Despite some off-the-field concerns, Carter is a top-10 lock and a likely top-six pick. Furthermore, the former Bulldog star is the betting favorite to be Seattle’s first-round draft selection.
Seattle might have to make a tough call between a quarterback and Carter with their fifth overall pick. However, there is a way for the team to get both.
Many believe the team loves Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson. The Seahawks could take Carter fifth overall and then trade up from the 20th overall pick for the former Gator. Reportedly, the Chicago Bears want to trade back from the ninth overall pick.
Meanwhile, Seattle has 10 picks this year. They could send the Bears picks 20, 37, and 83 for the No. 9 selection. This trade would put the Seahawks ahead of the Tennessee Titans at 11 and Houston Texans at 12. Both teams could draft a quarterback.
