Davante Adams was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders during the 2022 offseason. Now after one season in Vegas, it appears Adams is unhappy with the organization. In an interview with Mirin Fader of The Ringer, the superstar wide receiver made some puzzling comments about the Raiders:
“[The front office] think this is the best bet for us right now to put us in a position to be urgent," Adams said. "We don’t see eye-to-eye on what we think is best for us right now. I’m going to have to buy into this and try to be as optimistic as possible. It’s not what I expected to happen, but it’s something that’s the reality now.”
Could Adams be traded from Las Vegas? Which teams would be the best fit? Let's take a look.

Will The Raiders Trade Davante Adams?
Adams had another All-Pro season in his first year with the Raiders as he reconnected with QB Derek Carr from their college days. The 30-year-old wideout recorded 100 catches for 1,516 yards and 14 touchdowns and finished as the WR3 in PPR fantasy football leagues.
But a lot has changed since then.
Carr was released by the Raiders, who then signed veteran quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo to a three-year, $72.75 million contract. Garoppolo figures to be the quarterback for Las Vegas over the next couple of seasons, with Brian Hoyer as the backup and rookie Aidan O'Connell as the third-string quarterback.
There's no doubt that Adams is frustrated, especially after his recent comments. He was excited to join Carr in Las Vegas just for the franchise to move on from the QB one year later. The Raiders would save $6.89 million in cap space if they traded him post-June 1.
Which Teams Would Be The Best Fit For Adams?
The New York Giants, New Orleans Saints, and New York Jets would make sense as potential landing spots if Adams were to be traded.
The Giants desperately lack a true WR1 option in their offense, and Adams would step into that role immediately. His presence would also help develop Daniel Jones as a passer. He would boost a passing offense that needs a superstar on the outside, but his fantasy value would take a big hit.
With Carr on the Saints now, the quarterback could lobby for the franchise to trade for Adams. They worked well together last year and already have an established connection on the field. He would join a solid receiver group in Chris Olave and Michael Thomas, so his fantasy value could take a small hit.
It sounds crazy, but if Adams could go anywhere, he might push way to join his former Green Bay teammates in New York: Aaron Rodgers, Allen Lazard, and Randall Cobb. He would join a stacked receiving group there, but there's no doubt he would easily fit in that offense with Rodgers and be a fantasy WR1.
If Adams stays with the Raiders, he'll still put up elite fantasy numbers with Garoppolo and be a WR1 in fantasy leagues.
