Some Dallas Cowboys officials were quoted at the NFL Scouting Combine as saying they missed former 'Boys receiver Cedrick Wilson, who signed with the Miami Dolphins last offseason. Could Wilson be sent back to the big D?
Wilson has been the subject of trade rumors lately. They paid $22 million for the Boise State product, but he only played a quarter of their offensive snaps last season. Trading him would save the Fins $7 million in cap space.
Is Wilson's time in Miami coming to a close? Where could Wilson be traded?

Will Cedrick Wilson Be Traded This Offseason?
The Miami Herald reported that the Dolphins are open to trading Cedrick Wilson. The Fins signed former Jets receive Braxton Berrios a couple of weeks ago, which relegates Wilson to No. 4 on the depth chart.
The Cowboys acquired Brandin Cooks this offseason, giving them a reliable No. 2 WR for the first time since Amari Cooper departed. They tried to use Michael Gallup as the No. 2 last year, but it didn't work out, and Gallup played through ankle pain.
Wilson caught 45 passes for 602 yards and six touchdowns in his last season as a Cowboy.
What Other Teams Might Trade For Cedrick Wilson?
The Cowboys might be the most likely team to trade for their own former player, but they are not the only receiver-needy team.
The Carolina Panthers' receiver room is very thin since D.J. Moore was traded, with Shi Smith (28 career catches for 400 yards). Wilson would probably slot as one of the Panthers' starters in three-receiver sets.
The Arizona Cardinals will need receiver depth if they trade DeAndre Hopkins. They already cut Robbie Anderson. A Hopkins trade would leave them with slot receiver Rondale Moore having to play the Z role on the outside and Greg Dortch starting in the slot. Wilson would become the team's first backup, ahead of Zach Pascal.
The Tennessee Titans' roster is bare at wideout. Besides exciting second-year prospect Treylon Burks, they have nobody.
The Cowboys are probably a better landing spot for Wilson than most teams. The head coach already knows him, and team officials like him. If he gets in as a WR3 on some team (including possibly the Cowboys, depending on Gallup's health) he could become a waiver wire pickup for bye weeks in 2023.
