Will The Broncos Trade Jerry Jeudy?
The Broncos seem determined to turn things around in 2023 after a disastrous season in 2022. The team brought in Sean Payton to be their new head coach, and he has spoken often about changing the clubhouse "culture".
There is a major need for wide receivers across the league, and the Broncos could conceivably land a decent haul for a player with the talent of Jeudy. Although team general manager, George Paton, says he is not actively shopping any of his top receiving threats, he remains open to fielding calls.
The 23-year-old is a hot commodity. In just 15 games last season, the former Alabama University star recorded 67 receptions for 972 yards and six receiving touchdowns. His 100 targets show how valued he was in fantasy football, but also in an underwhelming Broncos offense, leaving other coaches salivating at how valuable he could be in a more productive offensive system.
Which Teams Would Be The Best Fit For Jeudy?
If Jeudy or teammate and fellow WR Courtland Sutton are truly available on the trade market, there will be plenty of teams lining up to obtain their services. The most sensible landing spots for the former 15th pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft are the Patriots, Giants, and Ravens. Each is in dire need of help at the position.
The Patriots just lost their top pass catcher Jakobi Meyers to free agency, and are desperately searching for a go-to WR. The Ravens have no reliable receivers currently on their roster. As for the Giants, they would love to add a player like Jeudy to a receiving corp that doesn't include a single household name.
JJ is in the final year of his rookie deal, which makes a trade for him even more likely. If the Broncos can get what they desire in a return package, expect the speedy slot receiver to be on the move this offseason.
