Rumors have been floating around regarding the status of 30-year-old receiver DeAndre Hopkins. Hopkins, currently a member of the Arizona Cardinals, is expected to be traded this offseason given the state of Arizona’s franchise.
Hopkins finished 2022 with 64 receptions for 717 yards and three touchdowns, missing the first six weeks with a suspension and the last two weeks with an injury. He was initially super productive in his return from suspension, but his production tabled a bit after Kyler Murray suffered a torn ACL.
The rumor mill is starting to heat up around Hopkins, especially with wide receiver Brandin Cooks being dealt to Dallas last week to kickstart the receiver trade market. Where will the five-time All-Pro land?

Will DeAndre Hopkins Be Traded This Offseason?
Albert Breer reported earlier today that Hopkins has been given permission by Arizona to speak with other teams regarding a potential trade.
Negotiating a Hopkins deal appears tricky due to his salary (he is owed $19.45 million in 2023), and the fact that he has missed 19 games in two seasons along with a production decline does not make teams inclined to give up a lot.
Arizona is obviously going to try to squeeze as much as they can out of a deal, but reports are saying that the return will likely be closer to what Brandin Cooks got Houston (a fifth and sixth-rounder) than further.
Is DeAndre Hopkins A Good Fit For The Bills?
It is clear that Hopkins will be dealt to a contender, and it is a matter of when rather than if on a trade. A team to monitor in this situation is the Buffalo Bills.
Behind Stefon Diggs, Buffalo has Gabe Davis and second-year receiver Khalil Shakir after letting Isaiah McKenzie go last week. Adding a talented veteran like Hopkins would elevate an already high-powered offense to a new level.
Despite the rumblings of Hopkins-to-Buffalo, general manager Brandon Beane quieted the idea by saying that social media should not be taken too far.
Fantasy managers should keep dreaming until Hopkins is officially dealt. If he were to wind up in Buffalo or Kansas City, he would immediately be back in the top tier of receivers. Even if he lands elsewhere, the superstar should be productive as long as he can remain healthy. Monitor the situation, as there appears to be movement on Hopkins’ end in terms of finding a new destination to play ball in 2023.
