Unfortunately, the Cincinnati Bengals missed the playoffs in 2024 for the second straight season. However, the team ended the year on fire, winning five consecutive games.
Furthermore, the Bengals won eight of their final 12 games after starting the season with a 1-4 record. While Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase got most of the credit for the team’s turnaround, Tee Higgins played a significant role.
Will Higgins remain in Cincinnati for the 2025 season, or will the star wide receiver leave in free agency? Let’s dive into it.

Will Tee Higgins Stay With The Cincinnati Bengals In 2025?
Higgins finished the 2024 season as the WR17, averaging 15.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. However, he ended the year as the WR4 on a points-per-game basis, finishing behind Chase, Chris Godwin, and Justin Jefferson.
More importantly, the star wide receiver was outstanding despite missing five games with multiple injuries. Higgins had 73 receptions on 109 targets for 911 receiving yards and a career-high 10 touchdowns. Many expect him to leave this offseason after playing last year on the franchise tag. Yet, Burrow has made it clear that he wants the Bengals to keep Higgins in town.

While it’s far from a guarantee that he stays in Cincinnati, the odds of Higgins staying with Burrow and Chase seem more likely than they did four months ago.
Free-Agent Replacement Options For The Cincinnati Bengals
However, several teams will try to pull Higgins away from the Bengals this offseason. Therefore, the team should explore options to replace the star wide receiver. They can add a big-name wide receiver or look for a cheaper option, considering Chase is up for a record-breaking extension.
Nick Westbrook-Ikhine is an excellent cheap option for Cincinnati. The veteran is coming off the best year of his career. He had only 32 receptions on 60 targets in 17 games with the Tennessee Titans. However, Westbrook-Ikhine finished ninth in the NFL with a career-high nine receiving touchdowns.
