Will Stefon Diggs Report to Offseason Workouts? Fantasy Football Outlook

Several reports have confirmed that Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs did not report to his team’s offseason workouts. However, he is not violating any rules because the workout is voluntary. There are also no indications of Diggs being traded by Buffalo, especially after signing a four-year, $96 million contract extension last offseason.

Diggs even converted $6.7 million of his base salary into a signing bonus to clear $5.4 million in cap space. He is under contract with the Bills until 2027, but there’s a potential out after the 2024 season. Meanwhile, he can still earn a $250,000 workout bonus because only the hours he rendered during mandatory OTAs will count.

The former Maryland standout had another solid season for the Bills after finishing 108 receptions for 1,429 yards and a career-high 11 touchdowns. It’s his fifth consecutive 1,000-yard season and third-straight season with over 100 catches. Unfortunately, they have fallen short in the playoffs since he joined the Bills in 2020. The Bills lost twice to the Kansas City Chiefs and once to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Stefon Diggs voiced his opinion

While the workouts are voluntary, Diggs’ absence made headlines, especially when quarterback Josh Allen was present. Football fans won’t forget how he waved his arms in frustration toward quarterback Josh Allen while they were competing against the Cincinnati Bengals during the 2022 Divisional Round Playoffs. Diggs also left the game early after losing to Cincinnati.

The Bills continue to have a formidable offensive unit with Allen, Damien Harris, Gabe Davis, and Dawson Knox. Diggs will be their primary receiver, and they will need more from him if they are to get over the top.

His constant production is essential, considering their division rivals have Garrett Wilson, Tyreek Hill, and Jaylen Waddle. The Bills will look past this issue and play as one unit in 2023, hoping to get their first Super Bowl victory.
