Buffalo Bills superstar wide receiver Stefon Diggs made headlines yesterday when he reportedly did not show up at the team’s mandatory minicamp.
Diggs was the clear WR1 for Buffalo last season, recording 593 more receiving yards than second-leading receiver Gabe Davis. Ever since arriving in Buffalo in 2020, Diggs has been the go-to receiver for Josh Allen and has been a major factor in his elevated play.
Will Diggs report to mandatory minicamp? Is he set on playing for the Bills in 2023, or is this all smoke no fire?

What Did Stefon Diggs Achieve In 2022?
Diggs scored a career-high 11 receiving touchdowns last season, going along with his 108 receptions for 1,429 yards. He finished as the WR4 in PPR leagues, returning on investment given he was typically an early second-round draft pick last season.
Coming off of another strong season, Diggs is again expected to be a target hog for Buffalo and should be set for yet another high-end WR1 season.
The star receiver just received a large contract extension in 2022, so this dispute is not expected to be contract-related. If not contract-related, what is the reasoning behind Diggs skipping out on mandatory mincamp?
Will Stefon Diggs Report To Mandatory Minicamp?
Diggs was reportedly in the building Monday morning but ended up leaving. Coach Sean McDermott called the situation “highly concerning,” and quarterback Josh Allen also had a few comments on the situation saying that it “is not football-related” and that there are “things [he] could do better” to help the situation at hand.
While the details of the Diggs saga are unknown, it appears to be something of an “in-house issue.”
Other teammates such as Von Miller have weighed in on the situation and there is belief that it will be worked out internally and that Diggs will return to Buffalo. This is likely just a passionate player being a little dramatic, however it will be a fascinating situation to monitor until it is fully resolved.
UPDATE - June 14: Diggs has reported to minicamp and is on the field. This is looking more and more like a story that is all smoke no fire.
