The Tennesse Titans had a disappointing season in 2022, failing to make the playoffs and finishing with a losing record.
The problem wasn't because of a lack of talent or an absence of quality coaching. Many of their issues down the stretch were because of average quarterback play, mostly because their starter, Ryan Tannehill, struggled to stay on the field.
As the team begins contemplating their 2023 plans, their primary focus will be what to do with the $27 million dollars their starting QB is due to make along with his $36 million dollar cap hit. Is it time this offseason to move on from their veteran quarterback? Let's take a closer look.

Will Ryan Tannehill Get Released By The Titans?
According to his most recent statements, Titans general manager Ran Carthon hasn't exactly expressed confidence that his signal caller will be back in 2023.
In the 2012 NFL Draft, Tannehill was selected in the first round by the Miami Dolphins but has spent the last four seasons with Tennessee. His 2022 campaign was hampered by injury as he played in only 12 of 17 regular season contests, finishing with 2,536 yards, 13 touchdown passes, and six interceptions.
Will there be opportunities for number 17 to sign this offseason with another team if he is released? What is abundantly clear in the NFL is that success is driven by the quarterback, there are many teams in dire need of one, and winning is dictated by the strength you possess in that position.
Which Team Will Sign Tannehill In The Offseason?
Tannehill is an above-average QB in the league when healthy, so his services will certainly be sought after if he is not re-signed by Tennessee. The team has a wealth of talent on both sides of the ball, as Derrick Henry is still one of the best running back in the NFL, Treylon Burks is a promising young wide receiver, and the defense is solid all around. Mike Vrabel is known for being one of the most prepared and knowledgeable coaches in the league; however, the one major piece that might need an upgrade this offseason is the quarterback.
There is no question that the Titans like Tannehill and are grateful for everything he has done on and off the field for the organization. But they may be wondering if it's time to upgrade the position and look for potentially available players like Tom Brady, Lamar Jackson, Derek Carr, or Jimmy Garoppolo to put them over the top.
Common sense says it's time to make a change down in Nashville, and if the franchise feels the same, the question will become, where will Tannehill land? Let's just say there won't be a lack of suitors. Poor quarterback play and injury at that position this past season will contribute to multiple teams that are looking to lock up the services of a quality veteran leader like the 34-year-old from Lubbock, Texas.
