Baltimore Ravens running back Keaton Mitchell (knee) is still recovering from an ACL tear he suffered on December 17, 2023, in a Week 15 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars. As many have surely seen, it was a gruesome-looking injury, and he's lucky he didn't damage more ligaments on the play.
He's the football version of lightning in a bottle, and the Ravens uncorked him often last season, so it was a shame to see him go down. Football fans have now been deprived of nine weeks of Mitchell Magic this season, which is depressing. Fortunately, though, he should return to play soon.
But will that return be tonight, or will we all have to wait longer to see him back on the field?

Keaton Mitchell Fantasy Football Injury Update
As of today, it now seems more likely than not that No. 34 will make his season debut on Thursday Night Football tonight against the Cincinnati Bengals. Reports from yesterday and previously were less optimistic, with the best news being Ravens head coach John Harbaugh stating that "there's a chance, there's always a chance" with a wry smile.
Signs are pointing to Ravens RB Keaton Mitchell being available tonight vs. Bengals. He's officially listed as questionable.

Optimism has been growing since then, though. It would make sense, considering that any soreness he would have in his knee from the game would have additional time to recover, since the team will have 10 days of rest until its next matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, November 17.
Keaton Mitchell Fantasy Football Injury Impact
Whether or not he's able to play, we'll still see a healthy dose of elite RB Derrick Henry, who will lead the backfield for the remainder of the season. Backup back Justice Hill will continue to get a few targets per game, possibly a few carries, and serve as a pass-blocker.

Overall, his absence probably won't make a huge difference in the workloads of the other RBs. It's not like Mitchell needs a lot of touches to produce big yardage, explosive plays, and long touchdowns. He'll elevate the rushing game to even further heights when he's back to full health.
