James Conner Fantasy Football Injury Update
Update: 12/28
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, James Conner is expected to play on Saturday evening even with his team out of the playoff picture.
#AZCardinals star RB James Conner, who is questionable with a knee injury, is expected to play against the #Rams, source said.
No hope for the playoffs, extension already signed, and Conner is slated to play at less than 100% for his team.

However, Rapoport noted that Conner will not be at 100% which could suggest he may have a slightly altered workload.
Before leaving last weekend's game early, Connor was on pace to have another fantastic showing totaling 117 rushing yards, a score, and an additional 49 yards through the air.
James Conner Fantasy Football Injury Impact
Seeing that Conner is trending toward playing, fantasy managers will view him as a high-floor flex option facing the Los Angeles Rams, who have allowed the 16th-most PPR points to opposing RBs this season. With Conner being less than 100%, there is a strong possibility that he is given a smaller role in the gameplan, especially with the Cardinals eliminated from the playoffs.
While Conner would typically be viewed as a high-end RB2, given this injury, do not be surprised if the Cardinals ease his workload during this game which will limit his overall ceiling.

With rookie Trey Benson (ankle) also listed as questionable, Michael Carter should be expected to operate as the No. 2 option if Benson cannot play.
However, if Conner and Benson are unable to turn the corner, Carter becomes a high-end flex option as he would command the backfield on Saturday evening. When Conner exited early last weekend, Carter logged the most snaps in the backfield. DeeJay Dallas would slot in behind him but would not be a viable option in any format.
