San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (hamstring) has made a name for himself in a variety of ways, but mainly by being a fantastic player at his position (one of the best ever) and by battling through terrible injuries to do it. He's currently dealing with a hamstring issue, though, and those can be a different beast.
Hamstring injuries are frustrating because fighting through them often just continually makes them worse. It becomes an issue not of toughness but of giving the body time to heal. Were it an option to play through the injury, rest assured that No. 85 would try. But it all depends on the severity.
So is his injury minor, or will he be held out of Week 11 to rest? Here is the latest injury update on whether Kittle should be expected to play this week.

George Kittle Fantasy Football Injury Update
In an update posted by NFL Insider Adam Schefter early in the morning on Sunday, it was reported that the future Hall of Fame TE was "unlikely to play" today. This will mark the first game Kittle has missed this season. Hamstrings really are no joke, and his isn't well enough to let him go.
Schefter: George Kittle (hamstring) "unlikely to play" Week 11.

There's always a chance he could end up playing, but Schefter is usually pretty reliable with his injury news. Fantasy managers will need to pivot to another player.
George Kittle Fantasy Football Injury Impact
His absence will certainly free up a few targets for the team's other pass-catchers. Wide receivers Deebo Samuel, Jauan Jennings, and Ricky Pearsall stand to earn more volume in the passing game directly in Kittle's absence. Running back Christian McCaffrey could see more receiving work as well.
It's worth noting that Kittle was only targeted four times in Week 10. This could have been due to the game script but was more likely a result of the return of CMC after a 10-week layoff due to Achilles tendonitis. He was targeted seven times by quarterback Brock Purdy, and he'll likely continue to be involved heavily in hauling in balls.
It might not make a huge difference for them, but it will be something.
