Tampa Bay Buccaneers veteran running back Doug Martin rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown last week against the Carolina Panthers. Don't hold your breath for another performance like that this week.
While I like his long-term value for this season, the Jacksonville Jaguars are only allowing 3.1 yards per carry, which is the best mark in the NFL. When you combine that with the fact that Charles Sims had been out-touching Martin in previous weeks and has been a superior pass-blocker, and it's hard to expect another exceptional performance in Week 5.
If you own him you might not have better options this week, but I'm staying away from Doug Martin against a Jags defense that is ranked 4th against the run so far in 2015.
