Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen had an excellent career with the Minnesota Vikings and will now be tasked with helping 2023 No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young get acclimated to the NFL. The 32-year-old wide receiver may be past his prime, but he should have a chance to lead the team in targets.
However, it remains to be seen whether he'll accomplish that and how productive he'll be in fantasy football.
Will Thielen have a significant role in the Panthers' offense this season? Let's dive in.

Adam Thielen Career Review
After two quiet seasons to begin his career in 2014 and 2015, Thielen became an ultra-productive wideout for Minnesota. He posted seasons of 967, 1,276, and 1,373 yards from 2016 to 2018.
Thereafter, he's seen his production decline -- posting 418, 924, 726, and 716 yards over the last four seasons, respectively. Overall, he totaled 534 receptions for 6,682 yards and 55 touchdowns in nine seasons with the organization.
He was a solid WR2 behind Justin Jefferson in recent seasons, but his production no longer lived up to his price tag after he reached his early-30s.
Adam Thielen 2023 Fantasy Outlook
While Thielen is no longer viewed as a game-changer or high-upside fantasy wideout, his average draft position makes him an intriguing late-round option in PPR leagues. Thielen is currently being drafted outside the top 60 wide receivers, but he'll surely outperform that if he commands the WR1 role in Carolina.
The team has Jonathan Mingo, D.J. Chark, and Terrace Marshall on the roster, but none of them have been or figure to be target hogs. Carolina's offense will likely struggle with a rookie under center and fail to provide Thielen with much touchdown upside, but he could have plenty of value as a WR3 or WR4 in PPR settings.
In the range of players like Van Jefferson, Michael Gallup, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling -- Thielen has the highest floor of the group.
