With the Hall of Fame Game one week away from today, fans are eager to see if we will get our first glimpse of Aaron Rodgers in a new green jersey.
Rodgers was traded to the New York Jets and will be playing his first NFL season away from Green Bay in 2023.
However, Rodgers will turn 40 years old this season. Green Bay moved on because the writing was on the wall for the future Hall of Famer and Jordan Love has been waiting to be unleashed, but the Jets ate the opportunity up to go and get the talented signal caller. Retirement rumors floated around prior to the trade. Will Rodgers only play one season in New York, or does he have more in store?

Should I Trade For Aaron Rodgers In Superflex Dynasty?
If you are targeting Aaron Rodgers in dynasty, keep in mind the state of your team. If you have a loaded roster but lack a consistent QB2, go get Rodgers. He is massively discounted due to his age, just got air dropped into a talented offense, and likely has two more seasons of top-12 fantasy production.
If your team is not in a contending state, dump off Rodgers for anything you can get. He still holds value due to his perceived production, but he did struggle fantasy-wise last season and the writing is clearly on the wall due to his age.
Will Aaron Rodgers Play In 2024?
Rodgers and the Jets reworked the contract so that it is heavily paid out in 2024, indicating that the veteran will stick around for one more season beyond this year.
Rodgers took a $35 million pay cut to allow the Jets to pursue more talent throughout the next two seasons and build a Super Bowl contending roster.
The Jets would reportedly be “shocked” if he didn’t return in 2024.
While a lot can change in a year, we should expect Rodgers to play in New York for the next two seasons and then potentially ride off into the sunset.
