Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Pickups - Top Fantasy Football WR Adds for Week 4 Include Jauan Jennings, Quentin Johnston and Demario Douglas

Jauan Jennings - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Justin Carter's fantasy football WR waiver wire pickups for Week 4 of the 2024 NFL season. His free agent wide receivers to add, stream, and stash off waivers.

Week 3 of the 2024 NFL season is almost behind us. It was an exciting week of football, with some games going down to the wire. How 'bout that Cowboys/Ravens game? Dallas mounted a furious comeback but came up just short. However, a few names from that game made our Week 3 wide receiver fantasy football waiver wire pickups list.

Below, you'll find some wide receivers that you should be targeting on the fantasy football waiver wire ahead of Week 4. Not all of these waiver wire options are the same. Some players may be better in PPR or deeper leagues, so it’s not a one-size-fits-all comparison. Use your best judgment when deciding which of these players is the right fit for your roster.

Be sure to also check out our Waiver Wire Adds for Week 4 for help at all the skill positions. All players on this list are around 50% rostered or below.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Wide Receiver Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups

Jauan Jennings, San Francisco 49ers - 31% rostered

With Deebo Samuel out with a calf injury, Jauan Jennings was elevated to a larger role and delivered shocking results. Jennings was targeted 12 times, catching 11 passes for 175 yards and three touchdowns. It was the performance of the week.

I don't think he's necessarily the best add if we're talking rest-of-season, but he's the top option here because he's a must-play until Samuel is back, especially with New England and Arizona coming up for the Niners.

Wan'Dale Robinson, New York Giants - 20% rostered

Malik Nabers is a star, but Wan'Dale Robinson has carved out a reliable role in New York. He was targeted eight times against the Browns, catching seven passes for 61 yards. He's already been targeted 24 times this season and is worth adding in 10-team full PPR leagues and 12-team half-PPR leagues.

DeAndre Hopkins, Tennessee Titans - 56% rostered

Hampered by a knee injury to open the year, DeAndre Hopkins entered the week with three targets on the year. We finally saw some vintage Hopkins against the Packers as he caught six of his seven targets for 73 yards and a score. That's despite playing under half of the team's offensive snaps. If Hopkins is on your wire, he's a must-add as his role should keep growing.

Quentin Johnston, Los Angeles Chargers - 45% rostered

Quentin Johnston was targeted a season-low two times this week, but he caught both of them for 44 yards and a touchdown. That now makes three TDs in the past two games for the second-year wideout from TCU.

Johnston might not deliver major yardage totals, but his ability to find the end zone makes him a high-upside fantasy pickup, even if he's bound to have some bust weeks.

Jakobi Meyers, Las Vegas Raiders - 36% rostered

Jakobi Meyers had his best game of the year, bringing in seven of his nine targets for 62 yards and a touchdown. He added a two-point conversion as well. Meyers has big-play upside, but it's worth noting that a lot of his numbers came in the fourth quarter on Sunday.

Really, I'm kind of ambivalent about Meyers. He's a talented player, but the situation in Vegas isn't ideal for him. He has value as a flex play because of his ability to occasionally pop off, but he's risky as well.

Adam Thielen, Carolina Panthers - 24% rostered

The Panthers benched Bryce Young this week. I'll be real with you: I thought that decision was a bad one. The Panthers have a lot wrong with them, so switching from Young to Andy Dalton felt like putting a Band-Aid over a gaping wound.

Maybe I was wrong, though, because Dalton had Carolina looking really good. Diontae Johnson had a huge game and Adam Thielen contributed plenty as well, catching three of his five targets for 40 yards and a score.

Unfortunately, he exited Sunday's game with a hamstring injury, so that's something to monitor. But if healthy, he should play a key role in an offense that suddenly has a bit of juice.

Deeper Wide Receiver Fantasy Football Pickups For Week 4

Jalen Nailor, Minnesota Vikings - 11% rostered

It's still not clear how long Jordan Addison will be out with his ankle injury, but Jalen Nailor is a must-play as long as Addison is out. He's found the end zone in every game so far, though his best game from a reception and yardage perspective was in Week 2 when he caught three passes for 54 yards.

Nailor is about as touchdown-dependent as a player comes, but so far those have been pretty dependable. That can't continue forever, right?

Demario Douglas, New England Patriots - 7% rostered

Before the season, I expected this to be a breakout campaign for Demario Douglas. Instead, he entered the week with just two catches for 12 yards. However, Week 3 saw him finally deliver, catching seven of his nine targets for 69 yards and adding a nine-yard run as well.

New England has arguably the worst receiving unit in the league. Douglas should be the clear No. 1 for the team. I believe Thursday night was the start of his coronation as the team's best offensive weapon.

Tutu Atwell, Los Angeles Rams - 2% rostered

The talk about who would benefit most from the Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua injuries seemed to center around Demarcus Robinson and Tyler Johnson, but it was Tutu Atwell who led the team with 93 receiving yards this week and whose five targets were tied atop the team with tight end Colby Parkinson. There's definitely streaming appeal here until the other Rams receivers get healthy.

Michael Wilson, Arizona Cardinals - 9% rostered

Rookie Marvin Harrison Jr. has quickly established himself as the No. 1 receiver in Arizona, but the No. 2 role is wide open. Michael Wilson had just four targets entering Week 3, but he was targeted nine times against Detroit, catching eight passes for 64 yards.

With tight end Trey McBride exiting the game late to be evaluated for a concussion, there's a chance Wilson will have a sizable role in Week 4 against a weak Commanders defense. If that happens, Wilson will be a great injury replacement for fantasy managers in need next week.

Jalen Tolbert, Dallas Cowboys - 4% rostered

At some point, the Dallas Cowboys have to acknowledge that Brandin Cooks just ain't cutting it as the No. 2 receiver and make a move to get Jalen Tolbert on the field as much as possible.

This week, Tolbert was targeted five times, giving him 14 targets over the past two games. This week, he caught three passes for 42 yards and a touchdown. I'm not confident starting him in fantasy yet, but I'd add him in 14-team leagues.

Xavier Legette, Carolina Panthers - 10% rostered

Rookie Xavier Legette was targeted three times this week, catching two of those for 42 yards. His upcoming fantasy value depends almost entirely on Thielen's hamstring issue. If Thielen is sidelined for any amount of time, Legette becomes an intriguing deep-league streaming option.

Rashod Bateman, Baltimore Ravens - 10% rostered

Rashod Bateman is what he is at this point: a guy who'll get targeted four times in a game and sometimes will deliver a big play. He delivered on Sunday, catching a 15-yard touchdown. There are definitely worse options to have on your bench to keep around for a rainy day.

Lil'Jordan Humphrey, Denver Broncos - 0% rostered

It's still not clear who the No. 2 receiver is in Denver. It also wasn't clear if that mattered with the passing offense struggling through two games, but rookie Bo Nix seemed to figure things out in Week 3.

Lil'Jordan Humphrey was targeted eight times, catching six passes for 37 yards. He had the same number of targets as Troy Franklin, Josh Reynolds, and Marvin Mims Jr. combined. After he was targeted five times in Week 2, it's safe to say Humphrey has established himself as a key part of this offense.

Calvin Austin III, Pittsburgh Steelers - 0% rostered

Pittsburgh is another team with a clear No. 1 receiver and then question marks behind him. For the Steelers, that No. 1 is George Pickens, and the newest threat to emerge as the No. 2 appears to be Calvin Austin III.

After recording just two catches for 13 yards through two games, Austin had a breakout showing on Sunday. He was targeted five times, catching four of those for 95 yards and a score. I'm definitely not ready to trust him in fantasy, but there are situations where I'll add him as a stash option.

Tre Tucker, Las Vegas Raiders - 0% rostered

It was a huge game for Tre Tucker as he caught seven of his nine targets for 96 yards and a touchdown, but the touchdown came from backup QB Aidan O'Connell. Tucker probably won't have another game like this, but he might be worth stashing in a 14 or 16-team league in case an injury in Vegas pushes him into a larger role.

KaVontae Turpin, Dallas Cowboys - 1% rostered

I'm hesitant about KaVontae Turpin ever getting enough consistent usage to be fantasy-relevant every week, but after he caught all three of his targets for 51 yards and a score this week, my interest is piqued. I might have room for him on the bench in a 16-team league.
